This illustration is an absurd juxtaposition of nature and science fiction. Present are the staple tropes of the star fighter and the Godzilla-esque space monster. However, the monster in question is something we perceive as rather benign on most occasions. Even the most gentle of nature's wonders can become destructive in their fight for survival.
